Jeremy Shanahan: I have been in the travel industry in some form for over 25 years. In the early eighties, I worked for Club Med in New Caledonia, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Guadeloupe. Over the subsequent years, I have travelled extensively for work and leisure to many countries in Asia, Europe, USA and Africa.

I joined my father in Shanahan United Travel in late eighties where I learned what it takes to be a travel consultant. I now own and manage United Travel Takapuna and Island Holidays.

My favourite places are the tropical islands, particularly Fiji, New Caledonia and Tahiti. Also, in contrast, the stone built villages of the United Kingdom and Europe always have an enchanting appeal for me.
